About AAWF (English)

More than a rescue

Asia Animal Welfare Foundation (AAWF) is building Asia's first smart, eco-friendly animal education centre in Hong Kong. The centre brings together animal rescue, water- and energy-saving facilities and humane education, so stray animals receive care and training, find the right home, and more people learn to respect life.

Charity licence no.: 91/12132

Our vision

We believe caring for animals, protecting the environment and educating the next generation are one and the same.

• Rescue and care: we rescue stray dogs and other animals and provide medical care, desexing and rehabilitation, giving them a second chance.
• Smart and green: rainwater harvesting, solar energy and smart energy-saving systems, so fewer resources care for more lives.
• Humane education: positive training rebuilds dogs' confidence, and we share that knowledge with adopters, students, schools and the community.

The building project

Stage 1 goal: HK$20,000,000. Total goal: HK$80,000,000, raised in three milestones (HK$20M → HK$50M → HK$80M).
